I found some black mold on drywall, it has not, however, in my basement. What should I do?
My dad plans on use of plasterboard to finish a shed attached to our garage exterior. I live in the basement and I do not agree on the fact that there is mold growing on the side of my room and nothign is being done about it. My father is not taking it seriously and do not plan to do anythign about it. I heard that if I wash it with a towel paper and then rub the area with bleach mixed with water will disappear, but returns? Please tell how I can get rid of him. Do not give me websites or ask me to call a company, please tell me how to get rid of him.
The chlorine in the water and the idea is a common solution to this. To prevent mildew from returning you need to look at the creation of the conditions of the mold. Moisture is the big problem. If the plaster has been sitting on a concrete floor enough water to wick through the concrete for mold to flourish. Another thing you can do is put a cast / mold inhibitor to paint you use on drywall. It is sold in small packets that are mixed in painting and that's it. If the plaster is not going to paint, take the combination of inhibitors in a gallon of water and a spray bottle to apply to plasterboard, and the definition of before the drywall is submitted if possible. It is my opinion that black mold is all about one of those things that has been very out of proportion to the danger. Yes I agree they are the cases that are valid black mold that has affected the lives of people. But above all is an exaggeration. Again, it is only my opinion.
