The black mold in my apartment?
I live in Oregon and am currently studying the laws of the lessor, but my boyfriend and I found black mold around of the four windows of my apartment, now these are some pretty big windows. Small outbreaks also found something that grows on the boards of the window. I have asthma and chronic bronchitis due to black mold growing around, so finding my new apt is not much fun. But since I live in an apartment should not be a law that states that these are not suitable living conditions? We are not sue happy people, but are ready to file a claim for living conditions unhabital. Any advice?
It seems it's time to move. I've seen shows where they say the only way to get rid of black mold is to shoot down wall or even the whole house where it was found. I was watching Extreme Home Makeover last year and was actually in the house of protective clothing. So in Actually, black mold is bad for your health. All in all it sounds kind of humid place. Yes there should be laws. Good luck.
