Help: sewer smell in the bathroom sink, drains, and tub?
I just moved into a house of three floors to discover terrible odors from the bathroom. After 5 days of washing away black mold, there is still irresistible smell of sewage coming up from the drains I drove out of the holes in the caulking a bathtub, and I think even out of holes in the ceramic tile walls. The smell is at its worst when it rains. I re-caulk at the time, but I want to treat the root cause. My landlord is not lazy will help me a lot, so how I can attack the problem itself? caulking seems to just step odors from other areas – the gas cloud seems to have been pushed into other parts are not. Definitely a septic system. We are in a building in downtown Seoul, Korea. It seems be no tubes I can see … the pipe with an end in my apartment. Maybe that's the problem. There is no odor coming from the toilet, but instead of back of the same – the hose into the wall. Not sure how to attack this.
You say you are connected to a sewer, but are you sure there is a septic system on the comment made worse when it rains is a classic tale sign to say that your septic sytem and the needs of cleaning out clogged or not the release of the drain fields to discover and contact me Maybe I can help alicubi2001@yahoo.com tom
