Had black mold growing in house for almost 8 months, now my family tells me I’m going crazy?
I live and work at the same place which floods everytime it rains, called my boss, and he got a contractor but it’s taken almost 8 months to find the leak and I’m getting sick respiratory, even one of my daughters got it, and now the owner says it’s mildew, there is pollon in the air, which I take allergy meds year long, and the contractor says, I’m a trouble maker after 30 years, which, I could have done better if I did it myself, the things he has fixxed…now, my family keep telling me I’m repeating and repeating like they think I’m on a drug, which I’m not, this is a no win situation, the boss told me if I reported if < iwouldnt have a job, thus my home also, and been sick and now my dr, is sending me to a specialist, cause he doesn't know what else to do for alll the pain I am going through physically, not mentally...what do I do? I'm either out of a job,which my kids, twins won't be able to go to college, plus, you find out who your friends and family are, if I get kicked out
What’s more important to you? Your health or your job, and the lousy house your living in? Hun, you can get another job, and a place to live. But you cannot get another body, let alone a healthy one if it gets worse.
Mold is very serious!!!!! Black mold can kill you and damage your children too, or kill them if the spores get in their lungs.
My Aunt by marriage called the health department, and got the place she lived in into trouble over mold, she was so sick for like 3 years. She did have to move, but she ended up with a settlement afterwards. Your landlord of course doesn’t want a law suit, but if your sick, you are sick, it cost money to get the testing done on you and your house to prove it, but your better off out of there if it is mold. Your endangering your family by living there not just yourself. Find another job, find a good doctor, and get tested for mold spores in your lungs or blood. Get the house tested for mold, and if it is there, move out, and sue the pants off your uncaring landlord and boss.
