How I can clean the black mold from wooden window frames?
… And how I can prevent it from happening again? Will replace with new windows without wooden frame also helps?
Clean: Pour water and Clorox ™ in a bowl or bucket. Use a 50/50 mix of each. Dip a towel role in the mix and clean with this. Use gloves. I recommend using a mask, too. You do not want to inhale the mold spores. Do not spray … clean. Will spritzing spores flying around. Discard paper towels. Once you have removed all you can with paper towels, let the water and Clorox to sit about a half hour. This will kill the mold dead. Then scrub with a old toothbrush. Use the same mix again. Throw away the toothbrush when finished. Prevention: Replacement frames of the windows will help, yes. If this is too expensive for you, clean the area well with alcohol. You do not want Clorox salts paper towel or lint left ago. Allow to dry thoroughly. Then caulk around windows for a tight seal. –
