Does anyone know how to get the mold off the wood? ……? details
Ok. I have a house post and beam with an incredible 10 x 10 wooden beams throughout the house. In the bathroom ceiling beams and wood are molding. Its black, gray, white … its NAAAASTY. I brushed with a stiff brush and some cleaner with bleach but it just grows back. How do I get rid of it permanently? Is there a clear sealer for use in polyethylene timber for block mold this way? I DO NOT want to paint the wood, but need to take care of this. I do not want to have to sand down. I'm not sure if I be able to stain the wood to match the rest that I had to sand. Any information would be great! Thanks!
Try hydrogen peroxide. Bleach evaporates and causes to retain moisture in the wood. Find the moisture problem and the decision of the mold and will continue. Try a dehumidifier to control moisture in the room.
