One of my plastic containers has black mold in it. I cleaned it out, but the smell persists. What can I do?
I accidentally forgot to clean out my shaker bottle after drinking a supplement shake. I went to use it today and was greeted by the overwhelming smell of mold/garbage upon opening the shaker. I cleaned it out with soap, dish soap, clorox wipes and extremely hot water. All of the mold seems to be gone but the smell is still there. What can I do to fix this? Should I just toss the container?
fill it with vinegar and let it sit a couple days, then wash out again.
Vinegar is an acid that kills all mold spores, you still have some in there, and that’s why it smells.
