Mold tests positive test equipment rental home … What is my next step with the owners?
I'm in Knoxville, TN. Myself, husband and 3 children have lived in a rental house for 9 months with a musty smell. I bought a test kit mold and mildew that grew out of a sample of air. "My owners have to obtain a professional evaluation to see what kind of mold and if your toxic? Is there a timeline for this and what rights I have?
Tell your landlord as soon as possible. Introduce to him the problem and the musty smell unbearable. Say what you need to break the lease and vacant unit to avoid any illness due to mold allergies. Next check with your local health department for more information. We must act quickly slightly disagree no mold. Mold can kill.
