How is mold removed from a house?
We are entering a house that was built in 1920, remodeled in the 1970s and resemble a cabin in Colorado, no log cabin, however. There are a lot of green space, trees, vines, flowers and ground cover with a drip system near the base of the wood of the house. The walls of the tub / shower lined with wood that has been treated with a marine sealant, and has black mold. The house had a water leak for 2 weeks in February before being discovered. It is only now being de-wet. There is the obvious black mold in a closet, wooden floor, behind the washer and dryer, yellow mold in a bathroom cabinet. This house has not lived for two years, and we rented our friends. They have been very cooperative and helpful, and we will be receiving an evaluation, recommendation, within reason of monetary relief. My question is: What will be used to eradicate casts as much as possible and what can we do to address any recurring mold?
Spray with bleach. Bleach kills mold. Then get a bucket hot water and bleach and a scrub brush and scrub really good. Care should be taken of the problem
