How do we get our landlord to fix things in our house?
dangerous branch of a tree in the front, mold under the sink, the doors are not closed. They came w / your contractor and said "yes, we will correct these problems. And a month later still nothing. Now do not even respond to our phone calls. We just moved in month-ago, and I want to move again. We also have our lawsuit against the ultimate owner of a lawsuit of several million dollars due to negligence in the removal of Toxic Black Mold. Therefore, do not want to file a new claim. But I have to, what I will. Now, there are laws that state they need to solve these problems? If so, what are the laws? And another thing I need, if I was taking before courts. For RM: I do not know about you, but I live in America. And I can sue anybody for anything. And losing the judicial system would not be the exercise of that right to use it.
Most state laws require that you inform the landlord of needed repairs in a letter … preferably registered. Give a certain amount of time (10 days) to make necessary repairs and if not, you are free to proceed to court.
