Toxic Mold Growth

toxic mold growth
How I can deal with the growth of mold in the wood?

I would like to make a table of final output of a stump of oak. Originally, the trunk was a fallen tree and the wood had probably lying on the floor for a few years before he was picked. I have been stripped of bark, dry wood in a makeshift oven for a few weeks and given a good dose of orange oil to kill insects. Is sitting in my garage and seems to be some white growth on the surface, I think it is mold, although it is possible that the only change of color. I really would like some suggestions on how I should treat the wood before finishing. I strongly prefer non-toxic solutions to the problem.

painters use a pressure washer with some bleach on it to remove mildew from houses before painting. If you have a pressure washer, try it. If you do not have a pressure washer, get some sand paper. You will be sanding this both to make furniture of the mold is gone.
