strange black mold growing out of the grout in the bathtub. Help?
I live in an apartment building that was built around 1980. I had a little problem with what I thought was just the mold when he moved to the building in 2007. I bought a commercial cleaner mold strong brand and has not solved the problem. I use 100% of bleach on the stains and they cleared one about 2 weeks after the mold has more than recovered. The mold is thick, black, and serves no murderers or cleaning mold. My mechanic said that his friend, who is a plumber, had black mold growing along the base plate in his apartment. He said that there are even mushrooms growing off the edge of the carpet. I am concerned that this could be toxic mold. I ordered a kit online for mold testing for toxic mold. What options can be if this proved to be toxic mold? Any response appreciated.
It is easy to change the nozzle. The change only a couple and used a couple of weeks, if that works, change the rest of the grout, but if not, then you may need to change the tiles and find the source of the mold and treat it.
